This custom donor recognition mural honors the donors to the capital campaign for the new Preston Building. It is a great example of our WaterColor Wall technique – marrying ceramic tile with graphically enlarged watercolor and clear acrylic.

Sunflower, a heliotropic flower that follows the sun’s movement, is an iconic image for this community. The central imagery was inspired by the raised garden beds on the Barclay Friends campus, and the surrounding Chester County landscape. The path is a subtle reference to a symbolic “path of life.”

In addition, a series of sunflower gift tiles were sent to major donors.
