Donor Recognition – Magee Rehabilitation Hospital

Located in Center City Philadelphia, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital provides physical and cognitive therapy for patients in recovery from amputations, brain injury, orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injury and strokes. It is one of the highest rated rehab facilities in the nation.

After a successful campaign, The Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens opened on Magee’s 6th floor rooftop. Patients are able to do physical and occupational therapy sessions outdoors.

Peony: Named for Paeon, the Greek god of healing, is symbolic of the determination to adapt and thrive.

Major donors received a framed “mini” mural gift plaque with a personalized inscription.

The curved pathway is based on detailing used in the actual Healing Gardens with a view of the Philadelphia skyline (now easily visible for wheelchair users from the 6th floor terrace!) in the background.
