Ceramic tile and glass recognition system for Capitol's new athletic building, The Capital Center. Four 9 ft. by 5 ft. arched panels depicting images important to the university are set into recessed alcoves in the brick wall of the exterior arcade. "When I recall the various options we examined, from engraved plaques to etched metal to ceramic tile, I breathe a sigh of relief and satisfaction that we went the route of originality and art. This display not only honors our generous donors, it serves as important decor for our multi million-dollar building and a “must see” spot, especially given the historic context of the art work. It is simply beautiful. Thank you for your cooperative spirit, your talent and most of all, your integrity." - Tom Moe, University Relations |
